MODULAR HOME
ARCHITECTURE CONCEPT - 2018
This architectural project introduces a highly adaptable modular housing system optimized for efficiency, sustainability, and customization. At its core, the design leverages standard plywood sheet dimensions as the foundational module, minimizing waste while enabling precise, repeatable fabrication through CNC cutting or traditional woodworking.
Each structural section (or bay) is composed of four interconnected plywood-based segments. These segments form the primary building blocks assembled into robust, lightweight frames that define walls, floors, and roof planes. The four-segment configuration creates a balanced, self-supporting unit with inherent structural integrity, incorporating integrated insulation pockets, window/door openings, and connection points for seamless joining.
The true strength of the system lies in its scalability: multiple bays can be linearly connected end-to-end to extend the building's length as needed.
